Maria Shunk

Maria Shunk grew up in Reading , PA and graduated from Antietam High School where she was a three-sport athlete in Soccer, Basketball and Field Hockey. She then attended The Pennsylvania State University where she played on the Women's Club Soccer National Championship team of 2002. Maria graduated from Penn State in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Business. She started her Masters at The University of Florida in Sports Management and worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Intramural Sports Department. She transferred to Millersville University where she worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Intramural Sports Program and is currently completing her Masters of Education in Sports Management. Her Masters will be complete in August 2007. Maria is also doing an internship this summer with the Reading Phillies. Maria has had a great love for soccer since she was eight years old. She continues to play in pick up games, coach youth teams, and referee PIAA and EPSYA games.
