Experience the wide variety of class formats that are offered at Spring Valley. Whether you have been healthy and fit for years or just starting out, come take part in one of our many group exercise classes. Step, Step & Sculpt, Step Beyond, Core Strength, Kick It!, Cardio Mix, Spin, Body Sculpting, Body Fit, Pilates, and Yoga. Classes involve both cardio and resistance training and are taught by certified instructors who will make you feel comfortable and motivated.

Our group fitness schedule is updated on a quarterly basis with the latest developments and changes in the fitness industry.

All group fitness classes are included with membership. There is no additional cost..take as many classes as you would like!

For those without a membership, fitness passes, which will allow access to our fitness center AND group fitness classes can be purchased at the front desk.  The cost of this pass is $99 for 12 visits.

Group Fitness Class Descriptions
  • ACTIVE ADULT: This low impact class is designed for Cardio conditioning choreographed to music using the Ramp, Step or moves on the floor. This class may incorporate some resistance training. For beginners and all levels of fitness.

  • AB ATTACK: Focus on firming and strengthening your core muscles.  All fitness levels can acquire the benefits this class has to offer.  Join us before or after your workout for 30 minutes of extra abdominal work.

  • JAZZERCISE:This powerfully fun and effective workout will lift your spirit and strengthen your heart, mescles and core.  A healthy dose of cardio, strength and stretch moves will leave you feeling energized!.

  • PILATES & SCULPT: Same as above just add props and a little more cardiovascular activity. This class is core work, balance, flexibility and overall a total body workout! For intermediate to advanced levels.For Pilates Sculpt/Matwork this is just an alternating class. Example: One week you get traditional Matwork and the next week you get Pilates Sculpt..

  • POWER RIDE: This 45 min ride promises to improve your cardiovascular endurance and burn lots of calories. Bring a towel and water bottle. Be prepared to sweat! For intermediate to advanced spinners!

  • STEP & SCULPT: Using a height adjustable bench this workout promises to deliver high intensity cardio followed by resistance training with weights and bands. For intermediate to advanced levels of fitness. For Salsa/Step-n-Sculpt add Latin based floor exercises in addition to everything mentioned above.

  • SPIN & CORE: Come on in and enjoy the ride. Followed by exercises meant to target your core this class will make you feel refreshed, centered and strong! For Spin take out the core. For all levels of fitness.

  • STEP/RAMP: Using either an incline bench or a height adjustable bench you will perform choreographed routines of high intensity cardiovascular exercise put to fun music. For intermediate to advanced.


  • YOGA BASICS: Just like it sounds! This 30 minute class is perfect for people who don’t know much about Yoga, or for those crunched for time!

  • *YOGA VINYASA 1: Physical Yoga moving slowly between less complex poses, breathing in rhythm, combined with stretching poses.For Yoga Flow combine these principals with a more flowing practice from one move to the next.

 
  • ALL BALL: This workout will combine the use of medicine balls, stability balls, and other resistance tools, while incorporating cardiovascular exercise to give you a total body experience!

  • ATHLETIC STEP: Simple yet "strong" athletic choreography promises to give you a great, fun workout!

    BODYPUMP: Is a revoluntionary weight training workout in a group fitness setting, that uses barbells with adjustable weights.  Set to motivating music, BODYPUMP is  a simple, athletic based workout that strengthens, tones and defines every major muscle group in the body.

  • BOOT CAMP: This is an innovative class to rev-up your workouts consisting of intervals, circuits, plyometrics and obstacle courses to train the entire body.For Bootie Camp add exercises that are specifically designed for your bootie!! For intermediate to advanced levels of fitness.

  • CARDIO-FIT: This class begins with 30 minutes of cardio(could be ramp, step, tae-bo etc) and then ends with 30 minutes of resistance exercises. Great combo of both calorie burning cardio and weight lifting all in one! For all levels of fitness.

  • CORE-N-MORE: Get 60 minutes of exercises meant to strengthen  your core plus a whole lot more!

  • FIRE UP YOUR METABOLISM: This 60 minute workout promises to jump start your metabolism by giving you plenty of cardiovascular exercise with some sculpting moves to help you get lean and fit!

  • CHISL'D: Using various resistance tools this sculpting class will have your muscles looking long and lean in no time!

  • MIX IT UP!: Recent studies have shown that your body will see the most results when you continually change your workout.  Mit-it-up will help you avoid the indvitable "plateau."  You could get anything from floor aerobics, salsa to resistance band work.  No matter what you do, you'll be doing your body a favor!

  • HATHA YOGA: A relaxing but fun style of Yoga that promises to deliver results. For all levels of fitness.

All Yoga classes are now offered with your membership fee, at no additional charge.
