Lisa Ostergaard

Lisa graduated from Utah State University in 1996 with a degree Exercise Physiology and Psychology. She began working at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City as the lead exercise therapist in cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. Here she was able to help very sick people return to good health through exercise. Lisa left the hospital after six years to start her family.

In 2003 she moved back to Berks County , where she grew up, and felt the urge to restart her career. Being an athlete and involved in exercise her whole life, she started working here at Spring Valley Athletic Club. She has been certified since 2000 as a Spinning, Pilates and group fitness instructor and as a certified personal trainer through International Sport Science Institute since 1998. Lisa teaches many of our group fitness classes and also is our group fitness supervisor.

Lisa truly enjoys training and working with all types of clients but has a special interest in cardiovascular conditions. Her Pilates experience keeps her focus on CORE exercises, which she considers the stem of all body movements.

Being the mother of two little ones doesn't give her much free time and she would not have it any other way. She thrives on her busy life and loves being on the go!
