New Members & New Member Orientation

All new members at Spring Valley Athletic Club have the opportunity to receive one hour of orientation, free of charge, from one of our personal trainers. This hour will be specifically catered to answer your questions and give you information & training on the circuit, cardio exercies and equipment as well as plate-loaded equipment.  Please see the brochures at SVAC for the days of times of these specific orientation classes.  Please sign up at the Personal Trainers desk.  Maximum of 8 participants per class.

You will also have a chance to meet with membership to discuss special programs offered to new members that will put you on the track to success.

Specialized Osteoporosis Training

Spring Valley offers equipment and services for anyone looking to improve their health including special populations. Recently Dr. Emkey, one of the nation’s foremost experts on osteoporosis, hosts a clinic providing information on the progression of osteoporosis, supplementation and exercise recommendations. Resistance training has tremendous benefits for people with osteoporosis which include increased bone density and reduced risk of falling (a main source of fractures). Spring Valley has a unique hip development machine which research has shown to be very effective at increasing bone density. Our personal trainers provide resistance training programs designed around four things: Age, Gender, Body Type and Goals. You can be sure your workouts will be both effective and safe. Diabetics and back pain suffers are also highly encouraged to meet with a trainer. Both conditions have very unique problems associated with them and need specific exercise selections and form. You can feel confidant when training with our personal trainers that you are receiving help from a true fitness professional. A person who has both the knowledge and the know how to help you reach your fitness goals no matter what your starting point is.
