New Members & New Member Orientation

All new members at Spring Valley Athletic Club have the opportunity to receive one hour of orientation from one of our personal trainers.  This hour will be specifically catered to answer your questions and give you information & training on equipment, programs and classes that interest you.

You will also have a chance to meet with membership to discuss special programs offered to new members that will put you on the track to success.

 

 

What is a Certified Personal Trainer?

Most of our personal trainers possess a BS in a an exercise field and all of our personal trainers are certifies through a nationally recognized association.

Our certified personal trainers teach safe, effective, individualized exercises to clients in a one-on-one or group setting.  They assist clients in achieving their personal fitness, wellness and overall healthy lifestyle goals.

A certified personal trainer is a skilled teacher, motivator, communicator and a continual student of fitness and positive lifestyle change.  Certified personal trainers serve a valuable purpose in helping people become healthier and happier, and can help improving the quality of your life.

Youth, adults and seniors can benefit from all of our personal training packages.  We offer 1/2 hour and one hour sessions in a variety of individual and group packages.

Integrative Nutrition Counseling

Sport Specific Training

Speed, power, endurance...the qualities all good athletes possess.  You will learn how to improve these and other skills in this program that has been developed primarily for athletes whether high school, college, or any sports enthusiast.  You will improve you athletic performance through:

Cardiovascular Conditioning

Be Heart Smart… 60% of American adults are overweight. Being even 10 lbs. overweight is a risk factor for heart disease, stroke, hypertension, type II diabetes, depression and some forms of cancer.

Target Heart Rate Training is a very effective method of improving your cardiovascular fitness. Exercising at the right level of intensity is important to ensure a healthy and efficient heart. If you have been neglecting this type of training, this program may be for you. The professional personal trainers at Spring Valley have the education and experience to assist you on your way to a healthier cardiovascular system, greater endurance and strength, and a healthier, stronger heart

Junior Fitness Program

Spring Valley offers a great program for our younger members ages 12 to 15. This program will introduce your children to the fitness and cardio equipment while teaching them to safely and effectively use the equipment without a parent on the floor with them. This is a 2-week program with 2 training sessions per week. This program can be an individual or group training program. The program includes:

  •  Fundamentals of weight training
  •  Cardiovascular training & flexibility
  •  Circuit equipment setup
  •  Exercise technique
  •  Education on muscles trained
  •  Spotting techniques
  •  Safety measures and much more!

Your child will also receive a training manual, a certificate of completion and a business card size certificate to document the completion of the program.
